The Karrinyup WurliTzer Organ
The Karrinyup Wurlitzer Organ is owned and operated by STIRLING THEATRE ORGAN PRODUCTIONS and has been leased over 30 years to the City of Stirling for $1 a
year. A group of enthusiastic volunteers maintain and tune the organ.
Six major concerts are held each year with the proceeds being used
for upkeep and improvements to the organ.
An annual calendar of events is published here and at the Karrinyup Community Centre. Bookings via the feedback form click here are essential since many concerts are fully booked. A season ticket for the entire year is available at a discounted rate. A benefit of the season ticket is a reserved seat. Concerts are held on Sunday afternoons usually commencing at 2pm. A typical Wurlitzer concert will feature music similar to that heard at an orchestral "pops" concert. There will be music from Broadway shows, a little jazz and novelty numbers and a few of the more popular light classics. Piano and Organ duets and silent movies with organ accompaniment are often included in the annual concert program.
